Effect of Contact Conformity on Grease Lubrication

This work focused on the experimental study of grease lubrication mechanisms around contacts in radial ball bearing 6314. The main objective this was to show influence conformities and their impact bearings. For experiments, a tribometer ball-on-ring configuration used fluorescence microscopy chosen as observation method. results showed that, under starvation conditions, conformity 0.52 at velocities 2 m/s produces 50% thicker lubricating film than 0.58. available amount lubricant contact area for approximately three times less that 0.58, same ratio observed rolling track.
